I was lucky enough to inherit some pre-drilled 20 gallon highs.
I want to implement a simple drain and fill setup for water change time. My thought is to install bulkheads on the thanks, then run tubing from the bulkheads into a larger PVC drain that runs to a drain in my basement floor. This way all tanks can drain while i'm siphoning debri and doing regular maintenance.
To fill, I was going to pump water up from my storage barrel and into the tank via PVC, having a shutoff valve above each tank. I've always used pythons in the past, so this setup, while simple, is new territory for me.
Can anyone using a similar water change setup provide photos, do's and dont's?
Thanks!
