Peppermint eggs day 5

I just happened to be standing in front of a tank today as a male peppermint was kicking out a clutch of eggs from his cave. luckily i was there or they would have been a tasty snack for the orange head geos sharing the tank.

Anyway i threw them into a fry saver and took a couple of good snaps. by the time i got home from work tonight they are all out of the egg sacks. these eggs/wrigglers are just 5 days old from spawning so are basically an egg with a top and tail

just a quick update today (day 7)

only about 6 eggs died or fungused so happy with hatch rate.

they seem to be growing well.

1 got out into the main tank when i was putting them into a different fry saver (really bad pic sorry)
