So did I wait too long?

A month or so ago "buy more discus" was one of my take away suggestions from my help thread. So I finally brought home 4 new discus. They are two month behind my originals in size, which makes me wonder.. Did I wait too long?

Im worried about one of the new guys in particular, dark, hiding, fins clamped. The other three are easily spooked but are out and about often. The original 4 are unaffected, seem out just as often as before..

Is this just a new-fish phase? Or should I be worried? I did qt them for about a week, 88F, oxy, salt. I didn't see anything wrong with them.

Did you quarantine the 4 new discus? or just added them to yr existing tank.....just need to know more about the situation b4 suggesting anything.

Qt = quarantine. Yes I put them in an observation tank for a week to see if they showed any signs of sickness.

My preference is at least 6 weeks in QT, but to each his own..Good luck on the new fish......

He did QT them for a week only b4 adding them to his existing stocks.......not sure what is oxy? .......

Oxy = maracyn oxy; an anti skin parasite med.

Any improvement after using Mardel Oxy(Active Ingredients: Stabilized chlorine dioxide.) and meds requires more than one treatment to be effective......Mardel Oxy . Repeat as needed for not more than five days.
