just set up a fresh 10 gallon tank in the room behind my 75 discus tank. i figure im back there often enough doing water changes and cleaning gear i might as well have something cool to look at and mess with. :) i have a simple light strip and a fluval-u1 inside tank filter rated for 15 gallons. i want to keep the fish as small as possible and lightly planted. any thoughts on how you would stock a tank of this size? hoping to get a fresh perspective. always fun to have another tank whatever the size.. right? walt :)

would this tank be to small for a pair of angels?

IMO it's too small for a pair of angels. I'd say a 20 gallon is the bare minimum for a pair of angels, and even then they can sometimes get pretty tall so it looks cramped. I would avoid most cichlids in a tank that small.

ill probably stick to a small group of tetras. thanks, walt.

Celestial Pearl Danios are really pretty and stay small. They are sometimes called Gaaxy Rasboras. I'm doing a 30 gallon tank with them and shrimp. There are a few different types of cute little rasboras.

Scarlet badis (Dario dario) are a really small, attractive fish with sort of cichlid like behavior. You may be able to do a pair of them with some danios or tetras as dithers.

How about a planted tank with a few tetras and some cherry red shrimp?

I'd try some of the unique shrimp species out there. They can touch up some extra algae and add some fun activity to the tank.

This comment might be a little late but, you might possibly try Endlers livebearers, very colorful and spunky.

I like Celestial Pearl Danios as well. You should for sure plant it though. I like alot of the suggestions Badis are really cool as well. Maybe a mated pair of Rams.
