Southern California (SWDA) Fall Meeting

Hello all!

It's been too long since our last meeting and the last attempt fell apart due to several factors that were a bit outside of my control.

So.... Let's have a Fall meeting!

I'm booked with work related travel through the end of October, so Novemebr will be a perfect month for me in regard to availability. I'm willing to host the meeting at my home in San Diego. I've got a lot of Discus and we usually throw together a pretty tasty BBQ. November weather in San Diego is typically pretty nice during the day, cooling off in the evening so we can still enjoy the weather during the day and move inside towards the evening.

***I am always open to volunteers that are willing to host the meeting. If you are interested in hosting a meeting please PM me and we can talk about what the meetings typically consist of.***

These meetings are a lot of fun! You get to meet the local forum folks in person, make new friends and enjoy some hardcore discus talk. Discussion range anywhere from discus health, tank maintenance, filtration technology, tips and tricks to environmental responsibility. I try to get our SD forum sponsors to contribute with sample products. This is a great way to see what the sponsors here on the forum offer.

Bottom line, you're bound to learn something and make some great friends.

Please post to this thread if you are interested in attending. Since we do not have a date or date range set yet, I'm looking for your availability to determine what would be the best day to hold the meeting. Typically Saturdays are best for most that must travel and significant distance. Saturday or Sunday should work for me.

Feel free to invite friends or family to come along!

Sundays are rough on those that travel in from longer distances but if there are no objections to a Sunday meet, I'm down.

The meeting scheduled for this weekend, November 5, 2011 has been cancelled due to lack of participation.

Unfortunately we just didn't get enough folks to make a meeting. I realize that we are approaching the holiday season and many folks are busy. We will try again after the first of the year.

I apologize to those that set aside their time to attend the scheduled meeting. I hope this hasn't upset your weekend plans too terribly.
