I am thinking of going down this route as keeping the gravel clean is a nightmare, especially around where the plants are. I am wondering about putting a small amount of sand on the bottom of the tank too, not covering the bottom completely - something I have seen in my local aquarium specialist, in discus tanks. Any thoughts and or advice re pots etc?
Thanks

I have most of my swords in pots. I have to trim them as the roots do grow quickly and will need some space though.

Thanks, had a peek at your site and love it. I have 13 discus in a 450L or 114G tank with some neons, 3 rams 3 plecos, 2 baby angels, plants and wood. Five of the disucs are juveniles and the rest are adults. I am loath to do it but thinking its going to get overcrowded and I need to split the group up- what do you think?
