Thanks Keith. I am very pleased with the way they turned out. They came from Mike Beals at about 3 1/2". I was really hoping these two would be male and female and pair off. I'm not a huge fan of high body. Out of the 5 Altum C and Altum SS these guys turned out pretty round instead of high body.

That's a good question and unfortunately one I don't have the answer to yet. I had 5 growing out in a 75 and came down to the fish room a couple of weeks ago and found eggs on the glass with these two guarding them. I took a chance and put them in a 20. Once again they layed the eggs while I wasn't there so I didn't see the tubes and didn't see who was laying them. I'll catch them another time and figure it out.

I'm a classic round discus guy myself, so I hear you Larry. Hope things continue to go well with them for you.

I like these Larry, especially the Altum Carnation. Which one was primarily fanning the eggs?

Bet the carnation is the girl. Please let me know if you find that to be true?

Yup. Had 5 of them in a 75 across from the 125's. Tank backed up to my work bench.

Awesome parents. First spawn out of the community tank and the fry are attached.

You may be able to grow them out in time for NADA. I might take a couple off your hands if my travel has settled down.
