I thought I would share how my new discus are doing. I got them at the fall auction. 6 are from Larry and 2 are from Chad. I did originally have 9 but one of the ones I got from Chad passed a few days after first getting them into the grow out tank. I was pretty sad to about the loss but I'm very pleased to say that the other 8 are doing very well. All of them are active and have good appetites. I feed them NSL pellets, Hikari pellets, frozen bloodworms, and frozen Hikari discus food.

Here are a few poor quality pictures i quickly before I went out lastnight...

Looks good. I've been playing with the idea of using a 33 long if I ever have baby discus

Update on the little guys. Moved them over to the 55 gallon. They were getting a bit crowded =)

Axio is the screen name of the op that wrote the post, not the manufacture of tanks.

aXio,
That blue discus in the second pic (near the middle) with the darker blue in part of the dorsal fin, is really interesting.
I've never seen anything like it. Really like it.

Wow, I really need to work on my reading comprehension. Completely missed that.

I did find info on the dimensions of a 40gal breeder: ~36X18X17 and a 40gal long: ~48X12X16.

His looks like the 40gal breeder size.

The tank on the first post does look like a 40 breeder, but the last pictures he posted, look like a different tank, most likely a 55 gal.. I assume this cause there is not much depth looking back as the original post looked.. I think the Discus have been transferred.

Axio, you are doing an awesome job growing them out. Keep up the great work..
