good lord no, pH 6 is good.

tap water or ro water in your tank? PH of 6 is good and raising it to 8 or high will only do harm to your fish. They can get ph shock and die as well.

No, not for Discus. You would only want to raise PH for Africans, and last time I checked, Discus came from South America.

but in all seriousness why would u even consider messing with your ph? mines at 7.8 and my discus does great. the only time altering ph maters in when youre keeping wilds and youre bringing it down to 6ish. and sometimes breeding but breeding has accur in 7+ before
