Heckel/Penang Eruption cross fry 4" plus.

Well in the spirit of Black Friday the time has finally come for me to sell some of the Blue Faced Heckel/Penang Eruption crosses. I have a limited supply so those of you who are interested should let me know right away. These fish are about 6 months old and 4" plus in size. The fry have two distinct bar and coloration patterns. The nine bar have thicker blue striations along with the traditional Heckel bar, red markings and halo. The second type has 14 bars and finer blue striation more like a leopard variety. Both will be great additions to anyones breeding program or those looking for nice round confirmation with an injection of wild blood. The male is an 8" plus Heckel and it appears that the fry are very large for their age. I have raised Tefe and domestic strains and these have out grown them by at least a third.
I am selling them in a minimum order of three fish at $80 each. These are not small fry but very nice 4" plus fish that are eating pellets, black worms( both live and freeze dried ) and some flake. They are in straight tap water which is Ph of 8 and somewhat hard. I am located in Minneapolis area and will ship. If you want a quote for shipping I need a zip code and number of fish desired. Rodrigo thanks these have been the easiest batch of fry I have raised. They are agressive feeders and have grown exceptionally fast. As Gary mentioned most likely they will be very large fish.

Thanks they are still very young fish and should gain a lot more color as they develop. Some are getting a lot of red as well as the blue striations.

I still have quite a few of both the Nine and Fourteen Bar varieties of this very unique pairing. Remember these F1's have Heckel genes which is very rare in todays Discus marketplace.

Thanks, I guess some folks view as mutts. I look at them as having very unique genetics since they have the wild Heckel genes. I won't be selling many more because the rest are part of my breeding plans.

FWIW, although these guys have made many showings of bar combinations, I have a nine bar I did put in the Heckel pack about six weeks ago..I glanced over today and didn't recognise the Heckel I was looking at..It was the 9 bar showing just one dark center bar..maybe my first, but I bet not the last as they continue to color up and grow..

I think we'll be suprised by the time the leaves start falling again (not to wish that any sooner!)..They are just approaching the year mark. I put a group of similar sized Heckels with them a while back, and they've left the wilds in the dust pertaining to growth...

I have recently decided that I can't horde all of the original grow outs and need to thin them a little bit. I have 5 nine bar and 5 14 bar Heckel crosses that I am going to sell. I have attached links to videos showing the fish. The Heckel crosses are all 5 1/2" and more likely 6" fish and are still growing very fast. I am asking $100 each. These are very unique since they have the Heckel genetics and some even have the dominant center bars seen on pure Heckels. They are less than a year old. I feed them Freeze dried Black and Blood Worms along with pellets. These are very nice and sturdy fish.

These are some amazing fish. I don't know about the 14 bars but those 9 bar are just like wild heckel. They have become one of my favorite discus in my collection.
