When people talking about the size of their fish. The 4 5 6 inches, whatever, is including tail fin or not?

I think it's tip of mouth to end of tail fin.

People measuring their fish is like men measuring their 'manhood'. Even if they told you, it's probably an exaggeration. Ask for a picture with something as reference to compare with.

So if they're juvies, tell them to stick a quarter up. If it's bigger, ask them to take a pic with a ruler pressed against the tank.
