My last piece of driftwood finally sank today so I took some pictures. The waters cloudy because it is still cycling. It's on it's 8th day and the ammonia level is still at 5ppm 0 Nitrites and for some reason the Nitrates are at 10ppm these must be scewed somehow. When it's finally cycled I'm going to get the following discus...

-Blue Diamond
-Silver Pigeon Blood
-Fire Red
-Red Pigeon Blood
-Blue Pigeon Blood
-Dark Angel
-Flachen
-Snakeskin Pigeon Blood
-Penang Eruption
-Blue Scorpion
-Yellow Sunrise

Looks great. You might want to put the heaters horizontal in lower part of tank. This saves you from unplugging them for water changes.:fish::):fish:

Thanks guys, I tried putting them horizontal but I didn't like the way the chords looked. I'll see if I can try and hide them if this thing ever starts to cycle. Yeah I want to have almost every color discus...variety.

Day 9 and still no change ammonia 5ppm and nitrites 0.

That middle piece of driftwood...you might consider affixing it/raising in up so the top meets the water line; I think that would make a very big difference..

No need to wait :)

Yes, that's the only reason why.

Yes it's 4X2X2...it's a great size for discus it should hold 10 adults quite nicely. Actually the background it painted a light tan, I didn't want blue because blue discus blend in and you can't really see them. I'm running a T5 Wavepoint retro kit with two 12K whites and two Antinic blues. It's those Blue Antinic lights I really don't care for so it gives everything a blue tint. I'm going to replace all the bulbs with 6K whites. I've also painted the bottom a white textured sand color a little advise if you use the textured Behr paint from Home Depot turn the tank upside down it is so much easier I had to paint the bottom while on the stand it was a total pain in the tookus.

This is what it looks like now with fish.

If you turn those heaters to lay level with the bottom you can run the cords down the corners so they arent hanging in plain sight.

I tried turning them down level, but the chords aren't long enough. I guess I could run a couple of short extension chords.

I saw that, it's a great setup. How's the UV Sterilizer working for you? I'll probably purchase one down the road.

Thanks things r going very well. Knock on wood. LOL. I never turn my UV Sterilizer on. It was a waste. If u r doing good w/o it - I say don't get 1. Use the money 4 something else.
