The aquarium has been going through a lot of Liplocking activity, esp. between the angels/discus/rams. Is this normal? I know these are for sparring/territory/ranking purposes but is it normal if they continously do it for days?

Yes. Could be territorial sparring or mating behaviour. Check the fish are not being injured. If they look bad remove the aggressor to time out for a while.

there is no need to remove "aggressor".. it will work itself out.. could take weeks..
