NEDA Winter meeting in NJ! Saturday, February 11th.

Hello everyone!

After speaking with Al, we would like to host the Winter NEDA meeting here at my place in Edison, New Jersey!

Like last time, we would start around 12:30pm with get together and general fun with libations, followed by a visit to our wild fish stock, returning to my house for food and possibly a presentation on a topic yet to be decided.

Last time here, we had a great turn out and I seem to remember people loving the food so I will prepare all the food again (with a vegetarian option for Ashay!), those attending can bring a dessert, snacks, or libations. Please reply with attendance and what you intend on bringing so everyone can complement the offerings!

It is no secret that Bob and I have started importing wild discus from Brasil, so come ready to see some good fish and spend some quality time with friends! For those who have never attended a NEDA event, all are welcome! It's a great chance to meet fellow discus nuts from the East coast! Great chance to put a face to a name, there is no fee, there are no requirements other than having a good time!

We will be selling raffle tickets to all attendees for $5.00 each. You can buy as many as you want and at the end of the night we will pull the winning ticket. Whats the prize going to be is probably in all of your minds. New Jersey Discus will be donating one young, 5 inch Curuai Royal Discus for one lucky winner. Now the best part is, all proceeds of the raffle will be donated to Simply Discus. Below is a pic of the Young Royal.

I am in. Nice note in advance to plan accordingly. I will keep that weekend open. Last event was fun cooking Gnocchi and by far the best - drive to NJ with Patrick and Al. I am in for sure.. BTW Dynamic Duo has a copyright - Patrick and I - RO water transport, tanks, many more things we have done.

I have my breeding tanks for sale if anyone is interested and is coming to the meeting. Four 20 gal tanks with lids and hydro sponges, also stands and cones...please pm me if interested. NO lights or heaters. No...the dog is not included! :)

Pair for sale during the meeting...it saddens me but I have this amazing pair of fish at my house that keep on producing fry that I no longer care for since I am focusing on our import business.

These are a proven pair that has a female Stendker Tefe (ACA 2011 fish), and a wild male that is over 6.5 inches in size with golden eyes. These fish have both been with me for a while now and have produced and cared for many batches of fry, these would be perfect for someone looking for unique fry that would be very desirable.

Here are some pictures of the fish and a shot video of the female caring for the fry.

A quick update. My wild is doing great (thanks Rod & Bob again). Still eating well. I did get 2 new discus from my LFS (Discus Hans) - 4" Dark Angel & 4" Red Scribbelt - Scribbelt is eating well. Dark Angel is eating but stays towards the back away from the other discus. Hopefully he/she will b fine??? I will post some pics later 2day or maybe tomorrow on my tank thread. Hoping I can steal my my girlfriend's camera if not more cell phone pics.
