Hi guys!
I was so inspired by a tank i saw and decided to rip out my back to nature slimeline and try and scape it minimal but nice for my F1.
These fishes has been in hospitaltank for a long while since when they arrived here they had Hith.
Think they are looking ok in their new home =D

Gorgeous! The more spartan set-up look is really growing on me of late....one day, I might opt for just a few big swords and driftwood too...beautiful discus!!

Looking good. Nice minimalist setup. The fish look a bit stressed, though. Are they fully recovered from HITH? Was there any particular reason for taking out the background? Was it fixed with silicone? How did you manage to take it our without leaving traces? Just curious.

Yeah they are almost fully recovered. They are a bit stressed since they just moved to their first planted tank i guess =) I took the vid just after they moved in. Its a bit better now (stressbars)

I wanted to remove that background since i needed a change. The slimline is great but i got tired of it fast. The black against the greens of plants and the fishes colours feels super for this kind of setup. At least thats what i was thinking lol
It was fixed with silicone and i was prepared of a crazy battle to get it off. But it was easy. I went in with a long and thinn knife and sliced the sicilone behind the background.
After that i went crazy with a tool with razerblade looking like this

All sillicone was gone in 5 minutes.

After all was gone i could see small small traces of some of the sillicone places. But when i filled it up with water it cant be seen.
Im sure it could have been removed with some chemicals but since i cant see anything with water in the tank then i just leaved it =)

Thank you, that is useful info. I don't know if I will take mine out, but it is a temptation.

Beautiful setup and awesome looking fish! Whats that thing on the top left corner of your tank beside the eheim intake? Seems like an air pump sort of thing? What is it called and do you have a link on it that you can share? Thanks!

Thanx!
Acually thats my Ozon coming out there =)
I got the Philips Ozon Purifier http://ifeelgoood.com/
And instead of using the Philips pump i connected it to a outtake of my Eheim canister, and then use the Eheim venturo to spread the ozon bubbles.
