Hi,
Have a question that has been bothering me....what happens to the ammonia in the hospital tank?..certain medications can damage the Bio-Filter ,right? Then how do the fish cope with the ammonia and possibly a mini cycle taking place in a hospital tank ? nitrates.nitrites... isn't it like dropping the fish into a brand new un-conditioned tank for a couple of weeks?

if you are doing your Daily waterchanges.. you can actually get away with no filter..

hence the daily waterchanges..

you don't leave fish in a hospital tank for weeks with no water change..

I actually never use filters in hosp tanks.......Not even sponge filters. Only heater and airstone. Daily and sometimes twice a day large WCs keep all parameters in check.
