Before i restarted my mbuna had a pair of careleus left. Chucked them in my community. When cleaning out found loads of them in the community. Bingo stock for the mbuna tank!

Cool Bill. I have had the same thing happen in my display. I have seen the eggs, the male guarding the ball of yellow spheres. Then sometimes see the fry on the front glass. They are small enough to get filtered into my sump. I have been washing my filter socks out in a bucket and collecting pleco fry. I have about 20 or so from this last batch. It is a fun surprise.

Thinking on doing that.I have the pair/trio still in another tank, thinking on putting these guys in the 180 and the adults in the 20 and see what happens.Lot of thinkin' going on,my head hurts.

Bill.

I would just keep the adults where they are and put a breeding cave in for them. Move the cave with the male to the 20 when you see eggs. I have about 20 in my 180 gal and 1 male would get a few female to lay eggs in the same cave.

I am having better luck raising them in the smaller tank. I do daily water changes and they are growing very fast. When I left the babies in the 180gal, they just slowly dissapear.

I hear you on the dissapearing.I had babys shooting around for almost a year, none maturing.Only reason I got these is I was shutting down a 150.The tro is already moved when I moved all the fish downstairs while swapping tanks. They're in a 75 right now.
