These are the angels I got from Mark a while ago. New video of them in the tank. Youtube has been acting up with my videos lately, sorry for no sound. Put on your favorite track and open this in another window! ;) Watch in HD!

Matt, I saw these at Mark's place and they are beautiful and huge. They make that tank seem small.

Thanks, they really are eating very well....and definitely not as "fragile" as I thought Wild Angels would be. Very pleased with these. You should get some Jen :D

I will post some pics or video of my tank with the SI angels I got from Mark. The quality won't be nearly as good as Mat's, but the angels are getting along real well with the discus and I love having them.

Thanks all. I was a bit nervous after hearing how delicate wild angels were....but these have been no problem at all. Good conditioning by Mark before they were shipped out and Hudson before that.

Thanks! The other fish are Geophagus parnaibae (From Ryan Smith here on Simply) and juvenile Mesonauta acora (which i spawned from fish originally sold to me by Al our admin here).

Just wanted to bump this. Coming up on a year since I got them. I have 3 of the original 4 remaining. Wish I knew sex, they all fight each other. Maybe I need more.....

This is the Alpha, his red spots are starting to come back out. Really started after I added Almond leaves to the tank. Been feeding tetra color bits as well. You can see his fin is starting to grow back as well. It had been injured when I got it, I took some sissors and cut it again to get a fresh cut and for a year it hadn't started growing until now. Hopefully its a sign they are at that point or really coming into their potential. Still really really nice wild angels, love them.

Matt........... I'm a big fan of your pictures man, I see that you have angels and discus mix, how it works for you? how many of each and tank size?

Discus-n00b

Thanks. Only 3 angels, though I've been debating getting more. 6 discus (more if I have fights in other tanks and need to house them somewhere else for the time being). 100gal tank. No problems really. I've seen the angels push the discus around a few times, mostly when the food hits the water, and I've seen the discus do it back to the angels just as much. Everyone gets plenty to eat.

Been thinking about digging the RO unit out and finding a place for it. I would love love love some Altums.

Matt, one more question :) at what temperature you keep that tank?

I been thinking about mixing some discus in a slightly planted angels tank which I keep at 78F but I'm not sure at what temperature set it; I usually keep my discus at 86F
