Hi, anyone have any experience with Mac's Discus? I'm not sure if I posted this thread in the right place but I'm new to Discus & would like to know about this breeder.

Thank you Ralph, but unfortunately I have already found his site & now my taste in Discus has grown to $125 per fish :o

If you feel like you need to order from him call him up and ask him what he has nice in stock atm. Only nice ones I received from him was ones he suggested. Every single pigeon I got from him was very heavily peppered. hth

His prices are more than some of the breeders on this forum for the same things. For example a 2.5" white butterfly is $65 at Mac's but only $45 for a 3.5"+ through Kenny. Plus Kenny has amazing fish guaranteed, I know nothing about the quality of Mac's.

Go to the feedback forum...and scroll until you find the feedback.
I'd go with a sponsor. You see the actual pictures of the
Fish you receive and follow up advice etc if need be. Simply sponsors go out of their way to please. They prefer good feedback.

I asked the same question in my other thread and did not get a lot of great responses from people that are familiar with him.
I also emailed him asking some basic questions and he told me I could keep TEN discus in a 55 gallon with full gravel, which, lets be honest, sounds like a sales pitch.

As everyone else recommended, look into some of the breeders here. I know paying for shipping on top of all the expensive fish sucks, but when you're spending this much on fish I look at as "insurance" to make sure you buy from the best.

Kenny does have a TON of impressive discus. I sent him an email the other day. Just a suggestion; you may want to check his thread out - I think you will find what you're looking for.

Don't be crazy, buy from Kenny or Hans. Plus, AWAYS try and see the fish before you buy, or you'll never be happy.

Also his pics are just strain pics from some fish in Thailand. Those are not the fish you receive.
You can get FedEx to your door with either Kenny or Hans.

+1
Kenny or Hans both solid quality. You get what you ask for and they are more than accommodating and go out of their way to be helpful.
