Just switched my 90gal from gravel to bb. I must say its been wonderful to have it BB this. My Discus are brighter, more active and eating more. I'd recommend it highly

Ive had BB for 1.5 yrs it looks to commercial to me(plus Im moving them to a 125 show).Theyre beyond the juvie stage and Ill be keepind the PFS no deeper than.5".With regular vacuming and w/cs(which Im used to)should be fine. Also thinking about getting those gravel vacs that accually sift/rake through the gravel.

I have gravels for mine, and trust me, they neded a lot of work to keep clean, I once was away for 4 days and the water quality just went really bad and I lost 6 fishes...

I used subtrates from gravel to sand and I ended up bb in my 210 most of my tank is bb except for the corners where I have the bubblers cover with gravel but I would not go back it is so easy to keep clean, especially if you put corys and bn pleco, I also have a picas catfish which is great keeping the bottom clean.

Personally I've had problems with my cory's dying because my heat that I need for my discus is too high, 86.
