Hi All,
I was not able to keep BN in the past coz they always die for some reason, so now I have 2 of them with my discus, I am very happy in the way they clean. when I asked the pet store that they always die on me he asked me if I feed them! I said no coz they eat algae! he said you have to feed them and gave me Algae waffers. so I started feeding them. but since they are shy, my Discus finish the waffers before the BN reach it.

What do you guys think?

Thank you

Toss em in when you shut the lights off. Theyll eat them.

They dont so much see it so much as sense or taste it. I have one that drags it under his driftwood like a dog. Once they get comfortable with that, theyll start eating anything..flakes, pellets, bws.

My BN eat sinking pellets and algae wafers. That also breed like rabbits in my tank.

My guys learned at feeding time to start being in the same part of tank when I dropped the wafers in.

And they love a slice of blanched zucchini which will sink and sit on the bottom while they eat it.

your bn will eat bacteria building up on the sides of your tank and on the bare bottom if you have one. they also chew on driftwood or eat bacteria straight from your sponge filter if you have any. dont worry if they get hungry they will eat. btw they can survive many weeks without food(an adult that is)
