As I get the receipts in, I add the names to a excel spreadsheet. However many tickets the person buys their name is on the sheet that many times. I use the numbered rows of the excel sheet to assign a number to each purchase. First buyer is number 1. I then use a random number generator on the computer to pick the winning number. Notify by email and annouce the winner on this thread. Last raffle, I did a video of myself picking the winner. I may do the same thing tomorrow night or maybe a little different if I have time between now and then.

I don't sort them in any way. I enter them on the spread sheet as I receive them. So if someone buys on three different days they will be in three different groups on the spread sheet.

Did i just see something. Does the next raffle have to do something with Florida Discus? If it is all I can say is WOW. Im in.

Can I make a recommendation for next time, even though it doesnt technically change the odds of winning whatsoever, I feel like it might make sense for the ticket numbers to be randomly selected for each entry. As in, instead of me buying 10 tickets and thus getting numbers say 1-10, I would be given a different number for each entry. Like I said, in terms of mathmatics it changes nothing but it feels better to know you didnt just get whatever the next ticket number was at the time. More scrambling of the entries essentially. Just a thought :) and by NO means intended rude or anything of the sort so PLEASE dont take it that way.

I'm thinking I would REALLY like to buy tickets for the last two raffles and might let one of the other BOD do the selection of the winner. I've bought tickets for just about all the raffles but in fairness pulled my tickets from the pool.
