View Full Version : First Group of Discus!

Finally had the chance to pick up some Discus'. They're doing great - swimming around the tank and getting used to their new home. Five of them are eating, but there's one that doesn't seem toe be eating, but I'll wait a day or two for it. If this progresses, what should be the next step that I take?

May take longer longer then a day or 2. Good luck with them, they look good.

Got my first in a decade recently, they are growing on me. looks like there may be a few more tanks in my fish room soon.

Does anybody know what strain they are? They were just named 'Pigeon Discus' at the LFS.

Pigeon Stone I believe is their strain though I could be wrong. I have one that looks like yours.

If they are pigeons they will do well....don't know why but pigeons just seem to be so hardy!

Congrats. They look good. It might take more than few days for them to get use to the new tank, just be patient.

That looks nice. Can't wait to get mine, cycling tank as I type. Don't really know what kind I am going to get yet but I think I like the look of all the same like you have.

I know you didnt ask for this but just a thought, you might want to consider adding prefilters to both filter's intake.
