The fish are stunning. It's hard to believe the auction is not yet sold out. I'm not even into Red Whites but I bought a bunch of tickets. Do people not have eyes to see the quality of the pair? These are extremely nice.

They are pretty fish. I think a lot of discus hobbyists just don't want mated pairs. Most don't want to breed fish. They just want look at a large tank of pretty, shoaling discus. Buying a pair or winning a mated pair means more tanks, more equipment, more food and possibly more time raising fry. If you are lucky enough to raise some fry, then you have to try to find homes for them. It's just more work.

Well the last three raffles have been for pairs and they have broken records so I have to disagree with your thought. Pairs seem to be very hot.

Got a lot going on now, so I cant buy a lot of tix, but I can buy one. If I win and dont have room, I can give the fish to someone who wants them or donate them back to NADA, I'm sure there are no rules against that.

Red Whites were never my particular cup of tea, either. These I could not resist. Just look at the shape of the male. He looks like a show fish. Look at the partial red eye on both. It's rare in this strain. If I win (I never win anything) I'll see about having them sent to the NADA show. The fish are good. They deserve to be shown off.

I've had a few folks asking where the sales are at, so I want to give everyone the info I have.

We are almost 1/2 way sold out. We have an offer to buy the remaining balance of tickets 30 minutes before raffle close time (little over 24 hrs from now). You decide what that number is. It can be a lot as it has been in the past, or just a few depending on if you get in now or not!

They are great fish, I wish I could buy tickets. Maybe I can buy them from Dan if he does the voice for Jen. ;)

I just bought two tickets, and i'm gonna buy a couple more tomorrow. Kinda trying to mix the numbers a bit. By the way I saw those fish in person and I was gearing up to ask David to sell me the male, but when I went back they paired off. The pictures dont show the real beauty of those fish. They are round and the male is HUGE probrably I would say about 6.5 to 7 inches.

Just a note for anybody buying tickets. If you use paypal you have to buy your tickets by 6:30 pm on Wednesday June 13th. WOW. I need to follow some of these threads closer. So busy with work, Tony Tan, trip to Asia, and now getting ready for the show, I completely neglected the NADA thread here. Glad the raffle was a sell out, and as soon as I return from Atlanta, I'll need to make arrangements for shipping that pair to Tom. They're sitting on wrigglers right now, so I'll use foster parents, so we have some of their fry growing out......

Thomas, I emailed you as soon as I received your email on July 1st (after returning from the NADA show). I let you know that I was wanting to ship this pair airport to airport (they are very large). I asked that you let me know the airport so that I can make arrangements. I emailed again around the middle of July. And again today. Please contact me at david@angelfishusa.com..
