My super checkerboard pigions have laid eggs how long before changing water and do I need to put something around the eggs after they are done ?

If you have MB you might hit the eggs with that as soon as they're done, if they're not in a community tank. Then go to the breeding section and start reading. If the fish happen to be excellent parents you might not have much to do for 5 days but order bbs.

baby brine shrimp, an extremely common first live food fed to babies starting somewhere around day 5. Here's a great link to hatching it. I'm currently using the method in a 10 gallon tank. http://forum.simplydiscus.com/showthread.php?73479-How-to-hatch-brineshrimp&p=566827&highlight=kitchen%20sink#post566827

125 is a dang big breeder tank, lol. You could divide it some way or lower the water perhaps.

I just had them in there to see what they would do. Also I had 3 males and only 1 female so I separated them to keep the males from fighting.

I'd wait and see what happens (before using chemicals) for the first batch

TDS on your water? Lower the better

Nothing to do out of the ordinary for the next two days
They'll become wrigglers after about 48-55 hours
Keep water changes up until they start free swimming...(3 or 4 days after wiggler stage)don't do water changes between the wriggler stage and attachment (might lower water a bit)
I usually

Get ready with BBS (buy some eggs, get some hatchers)

Don't know what the TDS is. PH is 6.8 and I always keep temp around 88.

Do I need to put something around eggs and if so when ?

Not for the first try: see if they eat them
Give them 6-8 tries before you put a mesh screen around them (assuming they always eat them)
Young pairs have a lot to learn

I'd lower the temp a bit, too
They usually spawn in the rainy season, when temps are a bit lower.
