75 or 125. Tank

Just starting out in the Discus world have kept other fish for years. But my ? Is should I start out with a 75 gal tank (which is what I have now) or would love to go 125gal. My plan is to buy juveniles and grow them out sand bottom and plant. I have a 55gal to do the growing out in with bare bottom. Just was wondering would the 125 be to had for someone just starting in the discus?

if you don't have space issue, the larger the better :)

Generally the larger the tank the more stable the water parameters will be....my personal opinion is always go with the biggest tank you are comfortable with keeping up maintenance. Your 55g would be a good growout tank, the 125g will be a nice show tank for when they all get above 4".
