Best Brand of food

Was wondering what you guys feed your juveniles ? Besides beef hart , is there a certain brand of flakes and bites I should? Just want to do it right. Oh and don't have any Discus yet just gathering info.

Tetra Color Bits and freeze dried black worms. The only thing my juvies eat.

Im not sure about freshwater but I have used the New Era Marine flake on my Saltwater Fish with amazing results. No color enhancers just good quality food.

I am going to try the New Era Tropical Flake and New Era Discus Pellets with my fish. Cool little fact New Era is cold formed and the pellets can me smushed together for bigger fish.

Beefheart, Color Bits, Frozen Bloodworms, Frozen Brine Shrimp (spirulina & regular), Ocean Nutrition Formula 1 & 2. I'll try about any frozen food from Hikari.

My juvies will only eat them saturated in Pro Growth. No clue why but they attack it then.

Pellets take time for discus to eat. You really have to starve them for a few days then they have no choice but to eat what is given. With that said I've fed with success Hikari discus bio gold, NLS pellets, freeze fried blackworms, inland SBH flakes, ocean nutrition discus flakes, and kens flakes.

Favorite foods to feed them are blackworms and SBH flakes. You can check kens flakes and pick a variety of flakes to combine and give to your discus for a custom mix. I have the super tropical and chicken liver flake combo. I'll probably add the veggie flakes to that mix soon.

Many brands are good. Best thing to check, is the actual ingredients and the nutrition percentages. I've always had good results feeding Ocean Nutrition products but I heard they were bought out. I use a variety of flakes from Angels Plus, Tetra granules and Sera granules.
