The Lone Star Discus Club meeting on Saturday.

The Lone Star Discus Club will be having its first ever meeting in Waco on Saturday at 12:00. We will meet at the original George's restaurant. It is right off the highway. With the group of characters in this group it will be a blast. We will be talking about our role in the upcoming FOTAS show and working on the bid for the 2014 NADA show. We will probably also gossip about our fellow hobbyist...the best way to protect your name is to be there...LOL.

Quick note on the FOTAS show. They are expecting us to have a discus show within the normal show. That means we will need some awards and judges. Figure that I would mention it here before I forgot...

2 hour drive up, 2 hours drive back to Austin. Wondering how long you'll be there so I can get a rough estimate on what time I'd be able to get back to Austin if I came.

Yes, 1.5 hours approx. At 90 mph, about 75 mins. At 55 mph, 2 hours. Really depends on who's driving, and who's drinking, and the # of resultant pit stops. :jester:

True... I can make it (going speed limit-usually have kids in car) no stops to south Waco in 1.5 hours. 2 hours if we have to stop for various reasons! Speed limit is 80 on the toll road now....

LOL, that's nothing we have streets that when you're driving, no turns whatsoever, the street will change name about 4 times, the chamber of commerce calls it the scenic route.
