Hi - I was hoping someone could help me figure out what strain of discus I have. Some are still very young and it may be too soon to tell. Smallest is around 2".
Thanks

In the first photo, I think they are both pigeon bloods but I'm not certain about the pale discus on the right.
The second photo, I'm not certain about the guy/girl above the pigeon blood, and I think the bottom right one is a fine line.

Thanks again.

You have a pigeon maybe two in there, one is obviously incredibly peppered... You also appear to have two turqs in there but the rest its too early to tell in my eyes anyway. 2" is pretty early along the process.... you bought fish without getting a strain name or seeing parents?

Thanks. Drew, I ordered 7 sight unseen from a "reputable" dealer 1.5 - 2" (mix). I think most were stunted, the heavily peppered one, I think is blind in one eye. (One eye is red, the other very small and black). They arrived very underweight. Lost 3 of them. Replaced them with the larger turquoise the large orange PB, and the melon colored one from the LFS. I've learned a lot since then.
Thanks again for the help, I look forward to watching them grow. I wish it didn't take so long for them to show their colors...waiting patiently.

Hi everyone! Just wondering if someone could help ID these pigeonbloods now that they are getting bigger....4.5"+. I thought the first was a checkerboard pigeon, but it doesn't look like the checkerboard my friend just got from Canadian Aqua Farms. Do they come in different colors and patterns? Thanks,

Pigeon Bloods..

you can get several patterns from same spawn..

just now they have PB gene.. ask the breeder for pics of the parents.. if you really must know.. too many possible answers for your question
