i was finally able to get my hands on some fry!!

thanks to KRAIG at KINGDOM COME DISCUS!!!

the little buggers showed up today.. on DELTA DASH!

there are still a little stressed.. but they should perk up later :)

Awww but Skip!!! So many adventures ahead but those guys are almost big enough you can get away without doing brine shrimp, it would be a stretch and I keep feeding BBS for quite some time but if they are already quarter size almost thats a pretty good start. Best of luck to you Skip, Im sure you'll get those guys big and beefy quick :). We can all learn the KISS method in detail ;)

Pat, he told me over sixty. I gave him the whole clutch after losing count while bagging. I found three stragglers today.

Aug. 8th..
two 50% water changes..

feed live brine shrimp for first time.. they took to it with gusto..

some seem to more hungry/actively pursuing food.. others not so much..
thinking the tank might be too big for them.. might put them in a 10g for couple of weeks..

in addition to crush PRO GROW BH FLAKE, thanks to bill
and the CYCLOPEEZE frozen bar :)

they don't like the LIGHT from overhead.. it pushes them down..

so i turned live over to top is not bottom and light shines to bottom of top rack..

they are more free swimming instead of hiding under heater and pre filter..

Skip, check your water parameters. Little ones do not have much tolerance for ammonia, nitrites etc.

i was putting Pure Pond in Hang on Back Filter.. but they sometimes got pushed out of the Aquaclear chamber.. or if i put them in the intake side.. if i backed down the flow.. they would get sucked into filter impaler..
Kraig told me.. he add them to worm feeder!!

I use bio bags Skip. Fill em up and use the string to hang it from the back of the tank.
