quarantine tank size

I read through all the pinned threads on quarantining new arrivals but no where does it say what size tank. do u use a tank size appropriate for full grown fish or can u cram them in a 10-20 gallon setup? I have 7 coming from Kenny and figured those 7 can go in the 120 gal bare bottom right off b/c no other fish will be there but i just ordered 2 from Hans (thanks to the fire red post heheh). can i put these 2 in a ten gallon. is this a good plan or am i going to regret putting the 7 in the big tank if one is sick b/c it will take more meds to treat the tank? And if i should put them in a smaller tank, what size for the 7?

no.. a pair from adult fire reds.. in a 10? not so much.. go to petsmart get a 29g.. for $1 per gallon

what size fish are you getting from kenny.. my first tank was a 125 that was given to me.. i am very glad.. i did not start off with this..

I would put the seven straight in the 120g but I would use a 20g for the other two. Then after QT I would put one of the seven in with the two for a week to see if there is any problems.

My QT tank is a 75. Large enough for a group of 7 and many uses afterward.

ok i will get a larger tank...i can use the credit from my other discus that im returning ;) I will quarantine the 7 in the 120 and the 2 from Hans in 29 thanks so much. the ones from kenny :
3-3.5" shooting star leopard

3.5-4" Hb/bulldog cobalt turq

are the big ones going to cause any trouble to the little ones in the 120?

the 2 i ordered from hans are 3" one a fire red and the other a silver pigeon

Funny 29 gallon are not included in sale only 10,20,40 gallon and i dont have room for a 40 :(. I think i have a 20 at home
