Thanks for answers… I’ll keep them in quarantine for now with otocincluses… if these will be fine so should be snails. Otocinclus is super sensitive to everything based on my experience.

Off topic a bit but when you add the otocinclus to the discus tank..watch them carefully. They will graze off the sides of discus..I have seen this personally. It can be an irritant.

Yes Al mine did the same thing. But unlike plecos the discus seem to just shake them off like flies on cows. Mine never effected the discus. Some things I let happen :).
Thanks and yes... I already had first batch of otocinclus in before discus arrived... and already experienced some attempts (think it was more accidental than intentional) ... but as Tom said... my discus didn't bother too much. So far we continue with peaceful nature of the tank... hope for longer.
Moved these posts to their own thread.:)
Got to say I don’t have many left. I think 2. Used to have about 6 in each of the 3 bigger tanks. Never find bodies. Must get eaten quickly!
Ive seen discus eat cardinal tetras Tom.. Otos can be a tasty snack.:)
I stopped counting... put first two batches before my discus arrived... think total was 12... later could count only to 9. First of all they hide extremely well in my tank second of all as Al mentioned they must be super yummy. Right now at 7... have another batch of 7 in quarantine... they will go in soon... though have an impression that I just feed my discus ;)
... bodies never found...
Mine were way to big for a dis us to eat. Ottos do grow! Mine were at least 5 yrs old.
