Nice job Mr. Bill. Looking forward to seeing them in my tank soon, Lol.
Re: Red Head Tapajo's in the Comunity Tank
When they get a little bigger,Jeff.Obviously tolerate discus temps, and dont bother the discus, but do get into it with themselves, sometimes.Got a school of 6 in the 180.
Re: Red Head Tapajo's in the Comunity Tank
here they are a few weeks older.Moved them into a 40gal.Some endlers in there also.

Wow,thats a crappy picture, time to wipe off the tank.
I found they are fine with discus, tolerate the temps, and even, obviously, breed. They can be a little active, and if there is any aggresion, its amongst themselves, unless they have fry. Then they protect like any pair.
Re: Red Head Tapajo's in the Comunity Tank
very nice pair, Bill. i really like mouth breeder type and miss my pairs. have fun growing them up.
Re: Red Head Tapajo's in the Comunity Tank
Bill you don't have a problem with the geos out competing the discus for food? That was my only problem with them.

I didnt have that problem, but I knew of others that did. They are in a 180 communitty, with schools of tetras and a bunch of plecos and cories,so I have a tendency to overfeed.Clean-up crew takes care of the excess.
