Nope.. goes right to the drain.. This way you don't have to see them or think about them. The earlier you do it, the better.
Re: Woo Hoo it's breetin time!
Now that my fry are larger - I see two types growing out.
I've got fry with a brown base color and some that appear to have an all red body - including fins. They all seem two have the same amount of bars.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Probably very hard to guess at this stage. Aren't they around 3 weeks now? Thats virtually impossible to guess on.

Ok guys. But there is definitely TWO distinct groups. One is brown based and the other is red based - all seem to have their stress bars.

Well this is very normal as leopards won't breed 100% leopards, you will more than likely have a mix of red turqs, leopards and red diomands (red turqs with lines that are not complete, sort of turq/leopard mix)

Re: Woo Hoo it's breetin time!
If I can get Red Diamonds from this Leopard pair....
would it be safe to say that I could breed my yellow face red melon (which has absolutely NO pepper) to my other male Red Spotted Leopard?

No, not Red Gold Diamonds. I mentioned Red Diamonds which were merely in between a leopard and a turq. I wouldn't cross a Red Melon with a Leopard.
Re: Woo Hoo it's breetin time!
Tito I should have jumped in sooner as I have bred leopards in the past and you will get several different variations of color and patterns with their fry. Every strain that went into producing your leopards will come out. Now thats not a bad thing since you plan on keeping them for yourself. It will be very interesting watching them grow with their own distinct striations, colors and patterns. The same goes with breeding Leopard Snakeskins,Eruptions and Pennangs.

I think I better get my check turq and my red turq ready for breeding. These lep pups are going to disapoint me! LOL I thought I would get all Leopards - I'm so Discus ignorant!
Re: Woo Hoo it's breetin time!
My pups are about to hit 4 weeks free swimming....
what should their size be????
Re: Woo Hoo it's breetin time!
Ok nevermind.
I look at Dave Rose's timeline and my fry appear to be on Schedule.
Re: Woo Hoo it's breetin time!
Tito, just getting where you are with this group is an accomplishment in itself and something to be proud of regardless!
