Re: Australian Blackworms are here in USA and CANADA!!!! ...
I just want to know as a comparison how much to feed compare to Frozen Bloodworm. That will help me to find out how much ($$$) I will need to spend if I start and continue to feed FDBW.
Do people use feeding cone? if people just dump it into the tank, will they float on the water surface?
thanks

Not trying to avoid giving you an answer here but I really can't make a comparison for you like that in good conscious. I'm sorry. I have no idea if the 3 squares of frozen blood Worms you are feeding is even a good amount for the number and sizes of your fish without knowing more about the fish.... Additionally not all frozen Blood worms are the same.... Different mfg's bloodworms are processed differently and are even different sizes and species...Its like comparing apples to oranges.
What I can tell you is when you buy frozen bloodworms a large degree of the weight is water and you buy these based on that wet weight., Also the size is expanded by that water... Freeze drying removes those factors. It takes roughly 80 grams of Live Blackworms to make 10 grams of freeze dried ones....I would guess The factor from frozen bloodworms to freeze dried would be similar,But they are packed in water too...can't really comment more there except to say if you took a 1 lb flat of Frozen bloodworm and freeze dried it...it would be very very much lighter and take up far less volume!:)
I can also tell you that many do just throw them into the tank...myself included...They may float initially, but that doesn't stop my fishes feasting..others use a worm cone or some other contraption and swear by it..
Hth,
Al

Awesome! These are my first discus and I just got them in yesterday and so far they love the blackworms I've given them, I just don't have very many. Great prices too.
Re: Australian Blackworms are here in USA
I've just started using Australian dried black worms and I am well impressed. I have never had a dried food that my fish will take in preference to hikari frozen blood worms, untill now. My fish love these things.
Re: Australian Blackworms are here in USA

I would suggest going to Al's store and seeing if what you want is currently in stock https://www.aquaticsuppliers.com/cat...c?categoryId=2. I just checked and what I normally order is on stock.

Concur what Pat said there - I ordered some about 11 days ago and they shipped nearly next day and I had them in my possession within 3-4 days :)
