Cool! That's the first time I've ever seen Altums that small. Very cute:) How much did you pay for them?

Glad to see you trying your hand with Altums, I have no doubt with your wild discus success that you'll do fine with Altums. From everything I hear, acclimation is the only tricky part, if you make it through that successfully you're golden.
I saw John also had some medium sized Altums for a very good price, curious as to why you went with the smaller size?
hope you will be successful with them.

I thought John gave a discount to simply sponsor members?
Very nice Pat...I believe the smaller ones do acclimate better.

Thanks Trung.
He might Dick but I never ask for one. Besides, I am not a premium member.
Thanks Jason
So I did a 50% WC on them matching TDS and temp exactly. John said he was feeding bloodworms and crushed flake. I feeding them small amounts of BBS which they are sort of taking. I will also be grinding some FDBWs in a coffee grinder and soaking them in water. I am feeding both in a syringe. The syringe allows exact targeting of the food at the fish and in controlled amounts. Just like feeding discus fry.
Pat, at what temperature are you keeping them?...I have been feeding mine some of Hans beef mix and it's putting some size on them.

82 is exactly where I have mine as well...I just never asked John what he was keeping them at.

Pat, I purchased the medium size ones...They are about the size of a quarter...I didn't know he had your size or else I would have purchased them...Yours acclimate much easier from my experience with them...You gave me the itch to set up another tank with those lol
