Looking very good Matt
They look great again Matt and so good to hear you got on top of the issue. You have done a good job on bringing them back and it must have been a frustrating period. So good to see all the effort and dedication paid off because they look great again.
Thanks!
Should have brought him to Austin...........................just saying
You tried to give me the hint before hand Larry! I just backed out. We'll see how he shapes up in 2 years, or we'll see what else I have by then. I definitely want to bring something to 2016.
Sorry, just couldn't resist poking at you. You know what I think of him!! Bringing fish to the Show really adds another dimension to it.
My guys have been in a QT tank for 10 days now following the Show and are ready to go back into the 220. Even the one that had the dorsal hurt while traveling to the show has his dorsal straightening back out and is looking great again. It was well worth the trouble of getting them there and back.
Well this tank is officially no more (maybe I'll post it's change once I change it over to Tropheus). The 3 wilds have moved on to the great beyond......
Just kidding they are heading for Larry's Fishroom of Fun in Georgia. I am officially no longer a discus keeper. Bittersweet and who knows for how long but in some ways its nice.
Man sorry to hear the latest changes, Matt. Hopefully you're not out of wilds forever.
I'll be back eventually I'm sure. They all come back right? Just need a change for a while. Diversify the portfolio if you will.
Hi Matt,
So sorry to hear you leave wild discus (for now?) but I do understand why. With wilds it is often a hate love relationship. When they are doing well they are the most beautiful and gracious freshwater fish available but when issues comes up it can be a struggle to get on top of it. Remember I almost quit wild discus as well for this reason (whirling issues) and wanted to make the switch to eartheaters. They do have quit some things in common but aren't as sensitive as wild discus.
I really hope you keep returning to this forum and at least show us some pics and clips of you future set up and hopefully jump in with the discus related discussions as well. I want to thank you for sharing all your good and unfortunately bad experiences in keeping wild discus and I really hope you will return to wilds in the future.
Good the read the whirling issue isn't the reason.
