Individual Leopard Eruption SS's Pics
Had about 30 minutes free the other day to myself and chose to try to get individual pics of each of my discus. I'm sure I have duplicates because I have more than eight shots (HA!!!), but wasn't sure which was which on the reverse side. I'll separate amongst Leopards, Eruptions and of course the Cuipeua Cross. Also, I wanted to shoot with no flash to try to show their natural colors. The dim light wasn't helping at all. I did the usual things to try to get better light and better shots and I still feel I missed the mark. At about the 20 minute mark I was getting pretty tired of trying to get that perfect shot and just started taking documentary photos at that point, lol.

Eruption Leopard #3, I call this one stumpy. One of its ventral fins has always been short:

Eruption Leopard #4. This is the only shot I got of this one. This is my smallest discus at 6" on the nose. Measured it about 2 weeks ago.

Stumpy was my favorite for the longest time because it had the best shape of all. Others just got bigger than this one and then it went down the pecking order

That Cuipeua Cross! So nice, the blue lines, the red dots and fins, and the wild stripes -- what a discus! So nice.

thank you. It was been a favorite of mine for quite some time. In all honesty, I wish I had a tank full of those :)

Re: Individual Leopard Eruption SS's Pics
Any chance you might be able to post an update with some new pictures and info on their current sizes? Thanks

Sorry, I thought I had updated this thread but it may have been my blog. I ended up giving these to Al Castro to hold on to due to some renovations going on in my house (which actually haven't even started as of today). The plan is to get them back one day but it isn't looking too good for that outcome. We may end up moving to a new house in the next year or so, so in that case, I may just wait to be in a new home to set up a "dream tank". That would be a 10ft 240/280g.

Wow I can't wait to see the dream tank one day. I really enjoy reading your threads. Any updates on the saltwater build?

Thank you. I really like taking my time with builds and thoroughly thinking them out so they are works of art, rather than just a simple tank setup.
The SW tank has stalled simply due to lack of funds. I have quite a few eggs in my basket right now that I am prioritizing over the SW tank. Furthermore, I didn't want to set up a tank during the summer as it gets super hot. I do have a chiller to plumb in, but I was hoping to not have to use it. After our summer here, I am definitely going to need it.

Well it really shows in what you've been able to accomplish and show us how to do it too.

Thanks. That is why that large tank has been in the back of my mind for so long. When I get my new home (God willing), I will get a home specifically with a divider wall setup so I can do an in wall tank with a super long tank. My life goal :)

These were bred locally by another SD member, Al Castro. He is ultimately the one that got the fish back to his fish room :)

I also have a group of 8 Fineline Spotted Snakeskins and 1 Ring Leopard that are Goh fish from Discus R Us that I got at 2.5 inches. I was just curious where Al bought his but I think I found that thread in the Discus R Us subforum.
