Desert Aquarist Society - Sun, April 11 @ 2pm Meeting and 10-Gallon Challenge Contest
Despite the Covid restrictions, the Desert Aquarist Society (Tucson area fish club) has continued to hold monthly meetings via Zoom. Every 2nd Sunday of the Month (eg. April 11 @ 2pm) a virtual meeting is held with a lecture/presentation and an opportunity for members to talk before and after. (1:30pm to 3:00pm is generally the whole duration).
Join us for this monthg topic, 'Breeding for Simplicity and Sustainability' by Sam Murphy. Again, Sunday, April 11th at 2pm via Zoom (but feel free to enter the Zoom room as early as 1:30pm if you'd like to meet and talk with others beforehand).

We have suspended Club Dues ($20 a year) until we can meet in person (which we anticipate happening this summer). Pacific in the Summer... Mountain in the Winter... it's because Arizona, being in the Sonoran Desert with plenty of sun doesn't recognize daylight savings time and is the only state in the USA without daylight savings time.... Sonora Mexico is the same... the only state in Mexico without daylight savings time...

What additional information are you looking for?
if you email desertaquaristsociety@gmail.com you can be added to the Email list to receive monthly updates, updates from board meetings, invites to the member meetings.
All meetings are always the 2nd sunday of every month at 2pm... (though folks are encouraged to arrive at 1:30pm to socialize).
For now meetings are through Zoom. When they were held in person, we were meeting at the Eckstrom-Columbuss Library at 4350 E 22nd St, Tucson, AZ 85711. We hope they will open the Meeting Rooms up before the Contest Announcements at the July 11th meeting... Otherwise, it may be a Zoom meeting too...
