Wheat germ and oatmeal

Hi simply,
Was wondering how many people here add either of these to their mixes. I've read online of mixes containing these 2 products but not sure if some don't use them for any particular reasons. I really don't want to start using these if people have had negative experiences with them. It said that the wheat germ can help with fertility but not sure if you can over do with too much or other issues can pop up. Also read that the oatmeal can be a decent binder but is there other great benefits to it for our discus health? Thanks for any feedback

I've used wheat germ in my beefheart mixes. Never had an issue with it.

Thanks Kevin. I bought some wheat germ last night and included it in a small batch of seafood mix I made this morning. My discus seemed to have liked it and mopped up everything. Hopefully it helps with digestion as I had a couple with digestive issues in the last several months
