I have two pair of Red Turquoise, originally bought a group of 8 and two sets paired off. Both have had two successful spawns, many more before that. the first two spawns I netted 15 salable fish. The second two spawns so far there are about 50 of them.

That second fish is a great beauty. All the fish are good, but you have something special with that one.
I hope that I'm there for the next show so I can see her in person.
After the show how to you plan to breed her? If this is your 3rd generation of sib to sib Giant Flora you will have to out cross soon.
I'm planning to send four fish to NADA including that very round one but will donate/raffle it after the show. I have few that I'll be keeping for breeding only. But not anywhere near as nice as the one that's going to NADA. I'm currently searching for Ricky Lim or Tony Tan strain to incorporate my Giant Flora to expand my breeding project. I'm feel that I met goal in terms of size and shape but it's the pattern that I'm not confident.
Very nice Bryan! I don't know of too many hobbyists that are breeding and working a line a few generations. Its pretty rare. I wish more hobbyists did that, but its a big commitment in time.
Curious here as to what your target pattern is for them? I like the base color on the 3rd one down alot.
How old are these? Also Are these all females... Their dorsals are all fairly rounded.

It is a huge commitment, I started breeding this line back in February 2015 and my first batch was featured in your video. But my goal this time is to change the pattern into more straight/stripe pattern. Somewhat similar to Piwowarski red turquoise, the lines are straight and not broken, very simple yet elegant. These batch is just over a year old. Highly likely these are females...thank you
Bryan,
I really hope you meet that pattern goal. That kind of a pattern is one I truly love on turqs!

This is our 2nd brood from the same breeding pair. GD x RGD This brood is huge. Caught me by surprise! I cannot count them exactly, but guestimate there is 80 to 100 fry! I'm gonna need a Bigger tank...lol This breeding pair has put out Red Melons, Golden Crystals, Golden Diamonds and Red Golden Diamonds. We kept 2 to see how they would grow out. They are stunning Discus @ 14 months old. Have a look!
