We get snow once in a blue moon but I can't remember us ever having snow like this. It started Thursday evening and kept up for most of Friday. Because we're not prepared for this the roads were not safe until yesterday. Everything that could shut down did. I was lucky. I never lost power but some folks did.
Beautiful! Good to know you did not lose electricity. Here in New Orleans it snowed for a minute or two on Friday.
I'm just two hours north of you. The heaviest snowfall hit my area. North and south of me got less.

That "snowfall" looked to be about maybe 3". Up here in Nt. Ct. that would be a dusting. LOL

It was closer to 4" I lived in Albany NY when I was growing up. I know what real snow is like. Up their they know it will come every year and are all set up to deal with it. This never happens down here so we are totally unprepared.
I looked and Hattiesburg, Mississippi has never recorded that much snow. The previous record was from 1895... 'blue moon' is about right.
Looks beautiful Liz and glad to hear your power was not affected. I never knew it could snow in Mississippi but heck global warming is changing all that.

Where we live we only get to see and enjoy snow if we drive into the high country, about 3 hours away, and for us a real novelty. Ive come to realize that for some people a heavy snow fall is a real burden and may not be such a novelty. I cant imagine having to shovel snow off my driveway each morning to get my car out, or even worse.
