Has anybody tried this fish? Ed
Yes, many types, many times. What would you like to know Ed?
They have a lot color. Do they like a higher PH? I have 1 tank 150 gals. I was going to put Discus in it. So I was just looking Ed
Males have a lot of color, females are silver mostly. They show their best color in pH's around 8 but unless you buy wild fish they will do well and show good color in tap water. I used aragonite substrate which naturally raises and buffers the pH to around 7.8-8, no other additives necessary. They do well in large groups to disperse aggression. There is a ton a super colorful haplochromis species that mix well with the peacock (aulonocara) family. Vibrant active and colorful displays are easy to establish and maintain. Bless
I have a plant tank and not sand and I used CO2. So were is my problem. thanks Ed
Most will murder plants. I have done a lot of busness with Josh at LIVEFISHDIRECT WITH GREAT sucess. Read his blog on site on how keep them happy. Great fish & people to deal with.
thanks Ed
Hey Tacks
I have always dealt with Trevor. His Cichlids are always of the HIGHEST quality. Equal to our Kenny"s with Discus.
His site is http://thewonderofcichlids.com/
