How about a favorite pair? These 2 are my current favorites. They're still quite young and will spawn for the second time any minute by the way they're rubbing up to one another and loving up to the cone. I'm still not sure about the male but I can tell that as the female grows her strong blue base and pattern are exactly what I'm breeding for. As she grows the striations on her body will develop into red spots.
That's a beautiful pair Liz
Dad guarding eggs. I wish the eggs were easier to see. It's a large but tight clutch. This is their second try.
My pair of Marlboros keep doing the dance but no eggs. They keep looking at my filter pipe so I took the cone out since they do have lots of places to spawn.
You can see your BN'S on the sponge filter and the Mopani wood.

By the look of things it's just a matter of time. Some pairs really get off on a long flirting period.
Liz here are your BN'S on the rock fat or eggs? I think fat.

Sorry to hijack back to Discus
Don't know. The male for sure looks too young, but if BN are like Discus the females develop sooner. Do you have a cave in the tank for them?
Yes a cave and the mopani wood has caves all underneath where the hide at times. Also there is two more BN's in the tank 2 long fin and 2 regular. At what stage they develop and how old are they?
Man, I have no sense of time. How how much or how far are over my head. I bet Google will tell you. I just keep them until they start doing it and I see tiny babies. Sorry...

Interesting you would say that Charly. My red melons just spawned on my Tidal filter intake pipe. Second time in two weeks but the eggs don't last long in the community discus tank.

Mine are in a 75 g tank with Albino BN's so if they ever decide to spawn that's where they are staying anyway.
