Nice video. Thanks for sharing!
do you know why i can not see the pictures?
Do you guys use any med to treat flukes on these frys? I once had frys too, but they were gasping for air at the top and all dead within 3 days.
What meds do you guys use on these frys periodically from disease prevention prospective?

I have a pair of wild green tefes and a pair of blue diamonds and a few others in a display tank. Interesting enough one of the blues and one of the tefes appear to be pairing up! Has anyone ever had babies out of this mix and if so what did they look like??
How can i see the pictures of this thread? i can see all other pictures in other threads.
Hi all,
I wanted to share pictures of my first group of discus fry. They are 8 weeks old today and about 2" from nose to tail from the date of free swimming. The parents have spawned since this group and again for the 3rd time last night. I'm including a picture of them with their new eggs. It has been a lot of fun watching the fry grow! All the helpful info on this site has gotten them this far!

Excited. This photo was day 1. Today is day 6. Will get new photo soon
its been a while since I've posted on the forum. I just started breeding again after attempting to do it last year with very little success. After much sould searching and learning from people about water chemistry. I decided to give it another try. Currently I have 3 pairs I'm working with. Pictured are 2 out of the 3 pairs. These fish are from Ricky Lim except the Snakeskin which is a Tony Tan fish.
This is pair #1 Altum Carnation male and Altum Stripe Female

These are their wrigglers

Unfortunately, the free swimmers were not attaching to this pair. The fry seemed lost in the tank. But...the tank next to them with my other pair laid eggs and I figured I might as well try and put the free swimmers in that tank with pair #2. Maybe, just maybe they will take interest in the free swimmers.
Happy to report that this pair, A sparkling spotted Male and a Fineline snakeskin female have been more than gracious to accept the fry as their own. Although their eggs got the point of being wrigglers, they did not survive. I was kind of anticipating that anyway. But all is not lost. These fry seem to love their adoptive parents and vice versa.

This photo was taken 2 days ago. As you can imagine the fry are much bigger now. The fry love her more than the male lol
