very serene tank mate, beautiful...some of those cardinals are super thick! Your discus look nice except the little snake skin looks thin...I see it up there eating in 1 of the pics though...if he eats well he may well have some internal parasite preventing him from thriving...just an observation. Thanks for the update!!

Thank you to everyone for posting the pictures of your planted tanks. The work and the creativity is impressive. When one considers the maintenance to just the discus in a bare tank then to add to that the plants would be beyond my time commitment. I think the fish would be more comfortable and less stressed living in a planted tank than a bare tank.

One thing i can tell that this set up is may not suitable to raise juvenile since we have to feed them a lot. it can take more effort to do water change more than one time per week. on this set-up i just do 40-45% per week.
