Problem
1. Please explain the problems with your fish. When did you notice the problems and did anything unusual happen that you think started them?
noticed some issues with the fins of one of my juvies about three weeks ago. this problem has since resolved itself. The new issue is with my F1 and my female blue turq. the left fin on the F1 and the right fin on the turq have both been slowly fraying and looking white-ish. My concern right now is the fact that they are in a tank with 10 other discus.
2. Symptoms (i.e. turning dark, excess slime, not eating, clamped fins, flashing, darting, clamped gills, white/yellow/green poop, hiding, headstanding or tailstanding, white on tips of fins, rotting or fungus, blisters/white zits on fish, bloated, cloudy eyes, wounds).

3. What medications/ treatments have you already tried and what were the results. Include dosage and duration of treatment.
raised temperature for about two weeks, added small amounts of salt every other day, removed carbon and treated with melafix for a week. Nothing has seemed to help.
Tank/Water
4. Tank size and ages, numbers and sizes of fish.
120 gallon long, 4 adult 1-2 years 5 around 1 year old, and 3 around 6 months old.
5. Water change regime (What percentage and how often).
50% twice a week
6. How long has tank been running? Is it bare bottom? If you have substrate, what type and how deep is it?
it is now bare-bottom, however it has had roughly 3/4 inch of gravel throughout
7. Do you age your water? If you do for how long and what is the ph swing.

no plants added recently, some new adults were added from the same source, none of which showing any symptoms.
10. Please tell us what you feed your fish and how often. This can be critical information for solving the problem so be as specific as you can.
Tetra colour tropical granules two to three times a day.
