I have a buddy in Ontario who also specialies in custom stairs. Unbelievable how much people spend on stairs.
Thanks Tony!
That is amazing......I have so many questions. It is really nice...
Just curious how much does somehting like that cost?
In case I hit the lottery and want to buy one.
Gee Henry! Winning the lottery and buying some stairs! :( Like get real! I would be buying a big house and lots of tanks with discus! ;) ;D
Thanks for all the compliments people....
Ron and Henry...
That particular staircase was sold for just under 9000 dollars (can) The railing system which was sold as prefabed and supply only, was about 13000 (can)
How many do ya want? ;D
Tony
:o :o :o :o :o :yikes: :yikes:
I can only dream of spending that sort of money. Mind you, if I would stop spending it on discus I could save it up..............NAH! ;)
Btw, how much to ship to Edmonton? LOL! ;)
Ron
Of course Discus would be top on the list if I win the lottery. In fact my wife and I have had very detailed discussion about having fish tanks as room dividers if and when we build our next house.
You can imagine what that conversation is like.....
Tony
I will take 10. Do you take personal checks?
Ron...tell ya what.
I'll build you the stairs and rail for FREE!! But its spensive to ship to edmonton...about 25000 bucks ;D
Henry...
Ya right...the cheques in the mail...and I wont..uhh..never mind ;D
Tony
To ship from Calgary to Edmonon its $25000! What the...... :o!
How much is it to ship then to Great Fall? :o
Cheaper to buy the stairway to heaven, hehehehe ;D
just looking at the stringers is amazing, are they composite? or do you actually warp/skew the piece? i am currently drawing steelstairs (self supporting) for new construction. steel is strong, but that is glorious. congrats. cg
Wow those are nice stairs :)
Anywho, I'm andy, up in a hellhole way up north, where I work as a "Door Technician" fixing all those big overhead doors at the plants that keeps our cars driving...
My other hobbies are pretty much fish and Jeep related.
Sorry...havent bin payin attention here...
Craig
The core of the stringers is actually several layers(6 on that one) of standard 3/8" exterior plywood. The stringers are glued up layer after layer and then bent as one piece around an adjustable curved wall. What you see on the outside, is veneer.
