You are correct. The male isn't interested an the moment! No ceiling on the inside of the filter, so probably not, but you never know!

Rich, in the time Mark had these two he mentioned the male grew alot so makes me think the male could still be young. Now I do have a male from the Alenquer pair. I lost the female on that pair to the overflow :(

And yeah, the male is probably just young. Good food, and good water, and they will spawn for you. Again, keep me in mind, the blue aggies are my faves!

Considering they weren't imported too long ago it may just be taking him a little bit to settle in. It's good that the female seems comfortable.

The female is a little character and rather bossy with the male. She counts him and he ignores her so she nips him. Funny but hope it is not causing him any stress. The small tank might be a factor in this also. And you are right Ryan, Rich's article mentioned that being the case.
