lol, I was merely translating what HH meant. Usually you'll ask HH or tripod. :)

Play with some crops to try and get the horizon line a bit less in the middle.
Great shot and beautiful colors.
Stan, a couple different crops. Hard to decide whether I like the water or sky best.

Took out some of the white spots from the far shore line also.

Re: Lake Whippoorwill Sunset
I like the top one more Pat. Pat, try this, do an aspect ratio crop that is similar or even longer than the bottom one, but on the top photo where it shows more sky than foreground but keeps the horizon off center.

I like more sky as well, to me it gives it more vastness. The bottom one makes me feel like I'm looking down and to me you miss out on the world doing that!

After thinking about it I agree Matt. The sky helps pull you into the picture.

Re: Lake Whippoorwill Sunset
I like both! The subject is the sunset, so more sky is the way I would go. The last crop is great.
The horizon line is something to keep in mind when you are shooting, especially if you have a foreground element that you don't want to crop out later.
In general it is more pleasing to the eye to keep the horizon line off center.

Thanks Matt, Stan and Ricardo, I am liking this last crop a lot. Thanks for the assist on this.
